Start and first success
I started with crossfit 3 years ago. In that time, it was very little known about this sport. It has all begun with outdoor group lessons in style of circuit workouts. It was so successful here in Olomouc, that after a year, new gym, Ultimate Fitness, was opened. This gym was fully adjusted to crossfit type of workout. First year, I was learning basic excercises – weight lifting and gymnastics. Next year I tried also some competitions in Czech Republic and since third year I started to travel mostly abroad.
Workout example:
Morning phase
- Mobility, cardio workouts, intervals on bike and row
- Heavy weight lifting
- Workouts with heavy dumbbell or kettlebell
- Gymnastic workouts
- Mobility and running or swimming
How do you prepare yourself for competitions?
I workout the same all year long. I work hard on my weaknesses. 6-10 days before competition, I avoid heavy weight lifting and heavy workouts. I do more athletics, cardio and mobility to be 100% ready.
How do NUTREND products help your performance?
Including great taste and composition, these products help me recover after heavy workout and get ready for another performance.
Can you remember your best competition? Has that influenced you somehow?
The best competition for me was German Throwdown 2016, where I placed 5th and Fall Series 2017, where I placed 7th. Even though I didn’t win and didn’t get a medal position, I ended among 10 best competitiors - the best guys from south and and middle Europe.
What is your motivation for this hard workout?
I am motivated by fact, that every day, I am stronger and faster and when I take a look back, I can see incredible improvement in what I do and that makes me go further and further. People, who work out with me every day in the gym and make progress motivate me either. It is my coach, my family, my girlfriend and friends, who believe in me and support me in what I do.
Can you describe your normal workout day?
I wake up at 6:30, make breakfast, prepare my things and go to the gym. First phase lasts from 8:00 to 9:30. After workout I use After Training Protein, Evoq bar and fruit. In 11:50, next phase starts and lasts til 13:30. Then I go for lunch. In 5:00 p.m, I eat Protein Pancake with fruit and at 7:00 p.m. I go for the last workout of the day.
How do you prepare yourself for a competition? Where and how often do you workout?
I have been preparing myself with AM Competitor Academy programm and I train all year. 6-10 days a don’t do heavy workouts and put more time into mobility and athletics workout. I train in Olomouc in Ultimate Fitness and once a month I travel to Italy for workout with my coach in Crossfit Jessolo. I work out 3 times a day 5 days a week.
What about your goals?
I want to be better in what I do and I want to do it as long as possible.
