Ondrej Cink and Bartłomiej Wawak from KROSS ORLEN Cycling Team in the lead during race in Italy

Datum: 16.4.2021

The riders from KROSS ORLEN Cycling Team had a good start during the Marlene Südtirol Sunshine Race in Italy. All the top riders turned up at the start of the race, so in terms of the line-up it was no different from the World Cup. Ondrej Cink from KROSS ORLEN Cycling Team finished fourth, and his team-mate Bartłomiej Wawak - eleventh. The current world champion Jordan Sarrou reached the finish line as sixth.

Ondrej Cink rode very courageously and actively from the very beginning. Two rounds before the end he attacked effectively and escaped from the group of eight riders in the final four. Ondrej fought fiercely for third place, but at the end, the French Maxime Marotte proved to be better. The competition was very even, because Ondrej lost only 11 seconds to the winner of the race. Bartłomiej Wawak also drove very well, for a moment he was in the top ten, but on the last round two riders overtook him and he finished the race in the eleventh position.

That was another race in this season in which the riders of the KROSS ORLEN Cycling Team fought very good. It was another test before the World Cups, and this exam have been passed. In a week's time there will be another well-attended race, this time the Ötztaler Mountainbike Festival in the Austrian Haiming. Ondrej Cink will appear at the starting line and we are counting on further good results - said Kornel Osicki, Team Manager of KROSS ORLEN Cycling Team.

The KROSS ORLEN Cycling Team is one of the best cycling groups in the world, present on cycling routes for a decade. Last season the team finished second in the classification of the world MTB ranking. The group includes the elite of world mountain biking. The riders are sponsored by the Polish bicycle manufacturer KROSS and PKN ORLEN.
