When I was 16 years old, I started rowing at a reputable club in Croatia. Before that, I wasn’t overly interested in sport in general. Rowing woke up a hunger in me, to achieve results and to be the best I could be.
During my 3 years of training with the club, I achieved many high results and one that I am most proud of, 2nd place in the National Croatian Championships.
Part of the training regime was strength training and this was the first time that I was introduced to the gym. I began to like what strength & weight training was doing to my physique and I started to gain muscle mass & strength, resulting in me being stronger than others of my age. My team members and I often used to compete against each other to see who was the strongest on bench presses or leg press. I always won!

My love for weightlifting and the gym moved me away from rowing and I dedicated myself 100% to the gym. I really liked pushing myself and getting stronger, as I wanted to have a bigger and better physique. At this point, I started to work as a Personal Trainer on board cruise ships, which I did for several years.
Time passed by quickly and when I decided to settle in the UK with my wife, it was time to push myself to the next level and start to compete.
I started out in Men’s Physique and then moved on to Muscle Model under 80kg. This is my current category, which I love.

Why did you start to use Nutrend products?
I often research other products which are currently out on the market and I realized that all the Nutrend products are pure quality and are highly ranked across the EU.

How do the Nutrend products help you in your sport?
I dedicate myself to this sport and my sessions can be very strong and brutal, so I need to recover quickly, which Nutrend products allow me to do.

What is your favorite Nutrend product and which one do you use the most often?
All the products are great but I can’t go a day without 100% Whey Isolate Protein & L-Carnitine.

When and how often do you practice?
Early mornings, I have a 1-hour cardio session. Later in the afternoon, I weight train. I train 5-6 times per week, increasing my sessions to twice a day on my lead up to a competition.

How do you prepare yourself for a contest?
I start very early, 15 - 12 weeks before as I like to give myself more time. I train twice, sometimes three times a day which involves fasted cardio in the mornings, weight training in the afternoon, then finishing off with cardio in the evening.

Do you remember your best competition? Has that influenced you somehow?
My best competition was my 1st! I placed 2nd in Men’s Physique and that gave me the boost & motivation to compete in the future.
What is your motivation for the training?
My motivation is the love that I have for this sport. That’s what brings me to the gym. I will not leave till the job is done. I want to develop my physique and be better as each year comes.

What are your goals?
Having just started to compete in the Muscle Model category, I still have a lot to learn. My goal is to walk out on that stage in the best condition to date and to win! I have a competitive spirit and I won’t stop until I reach my goal. GAME ON!!!!
