During all physical activity we lose body fluids, and if we do not want to let our performance drop, we need to replenish them regularly. Fluid loss at the level of 3-4% of body weight leads to a decrease in physical and mental performance in the range of 20-30%. Why should we let a bad and inappropriate drinking regime deliberately and unnecessarily degrade our performance? A correctly selected drinking regime will supply the tired body not only with fluids, but also energy and needed minerals. We are thus able to maintain high performance over a longer period and finish earlier than our rivals! Sports drinks are divided into:
Hypotonic - suitable for less intensive activities, but also very intensive activity lasting longer than 60 minutes.
Isotonic - suitable for short and very intensive activity within 60 minutes.
