Bartłomiej Wawak from KROSS ORLEN Cycling Team wins MTB race in Czech Republic

Datum: 30.6.2021

After a fierce competition in difficult conditions, including heavy rain, Bartłomiej Wawak won the IZOMAT MTB cup 2021 Bedřichov in the Czech Republic. The KOCT rider led from the very beginning and did not give up the lead until the finish line. Next week, another start, this time at the World Cup in Les Gets, France.

During today's race, which had the UCI C1 category, the riders competed not only against each other, but also against extremely difficult race conditions. The protruding roots on the steep downhill stretches were quite a challenge, especially during the heavy rain that fell during the race. Bartłomiej Wawak fought from the very beginning, took the lead right away and won the race by a large margin.

- With each round, Bartek increased his lead over the next riders and at the finish line it amounted to as much as 3 minutes. This is a good sign before the upcoming, important races, and I hope that Bartek will also show his best side there – said Kornel Osicki, Team Manager of KROSS ORLEN Cycling Team, after the race.

Bartłomiej Wawak from KROSS ORLEN Cycling Team checked his form before the next start in the World Cup. The next race is scheduled for next week in France.
